Description
A Yachting journalist once likened our Balance 526 to a “BMW M Series,” so who are we to argue? With her foam core hulls and decks, carbon daggerboards, heavily carbon reinforced structures and full epoxy construction, she’s built and sails just like a high-performance racing cat yet remains amazingly easy to operate and maintain.
The 526 was awarded “Import Boat of the Year” by Cruising World magazine in 2016 as well as Best Multihull Over 50 Feet, and she’s been winning awards ever since, including first to finish in the 2023 Cape to Race. But….she is a liveaboard voyaging catamaran - we did not set out to create a racing boat, fast as she is.
The 526 was the first catamaran we designed and built to utilize our now famous 90 degree pivoting VersaHelm. Others have tried to copy us, but nobody has perfected our exciting innovation as we have.
With her owner-version configuration, the Balance 526 easily accommodates six to eight people. And Balance’s innovative salon table converts into a queen-size bed so you can always host another couple. It is also a place to hang out, read a book, or sleep when your partner is on watch. Her master shower aft is luxurious. The 526 sports 6’10” headroom, boasts a large U-shaped galley, and offers more real wood hand-made cabinetry than any performance catamaran of her size and class.
She’s a pleasure to move about on whether that’s cooking, sleeping, lounging, bathing, dining or entertaining friends and family. There is a place to store everything on the 526, and a lot of places to just hang out and relax. You can pilot her up top in fair weather, pilot her down in the cold, you can lounge and read inside or outside, turn your tables into beds, into dining tables, into pleasure nooks for reading or watching the latest film.
If you love to sail, and hate settling for anything but the best, the Balance 526 is in a class all her own. She can be built in our standard Carbon Cross version, Carbon Cross +, or our full Carbon XP version.
