I think that now is a good time for some very clear-eyed thinking about safety onboard sailboats.

Crew safety, that is. Harnesses, life - jackets, that sort of thing. This discussion, much like our politics, has become so polarised over the past few years that there does not seem to be a middle ground that we can all agree upon. Perhaps there will never be a middle ground but let’s at least try to see the other side of the argument.
