TIGA BELAS is a 24-metre sailing sloop that offers an ideal combination of comfort, safety, ease of handling, and strong sailing performance. Designed by the renowned Bill Dixon Yacht Design Studio and launched by Austral Yachts in 2001, she showcases timeless elegance with her classic lines and deck-saloon layout. The vision behind TIGA BELAS was to build a yacht that prioritised uncompromising comfort and reliability, using only top-tier materials and construction methods. To achieve this, the hull was built with a 45 mm red cedar core, layered inside and out with epoxy GRP, and reinforced externally with 1.5 layers of Kevlar to enhance impact resistance. Key structural components — including the keelson, engine beds, and mast step — were crafted from solid mahogany and encased in epoxy GRP for added durability and strength.
