Following an engineering degree at Cambridge and a PhD while working at the National Physics Laboratory, a young Geoff Willis was nabbed to help Peter de Savary’s short-lived Blue Arrow Cup Challenge. From there a move to F1 and Leyton House March led to an introduction to Adrian Newey and a 33-year F1 career amassing 24 world titles. In 2021 Willis was still working for Ineos-backed Mercedes F1 when Ineos Britannia suggested redirecting the relationship a little. Tim Jeffery visited Willis in Barcelona
