Debuting at the Route du Rhum by placing second in the Class40 is no mean feat, even for a sailor like Ambrogio Beccaria, whose talents are widely recognised in the Mini 6.50 world especially, where he won the Mini Transat in the Production division while also finishing third overall in among the much more expensive Protos. In fact, ‘Bogi’ really learned his trade on these smallest of ocean-going racing boats, upon which he became a specialist.
